AUMÜLLER offers Spindle Drives featuring stylish continuous aluminium housings, available in attractive round or rectangular shapes, complemented by aluminium or plastic end caps. The housing length is determined by a fixed, type-dependent construction length set by the microprocessor-controlled electronics and the motor-gear unit. Additionally, the length of the spindle housing varies according to the stroke.
These spindle drives utilise ball bearing spindles with end position damping, crafted from high-quality stainless steel or phosphated steel. The opening mechanisms consist of stainless steel or anodized aluminium spindle tubes. Standard configurations include fixed or replaceable eyebolts for versatile swiveling mounting on various casement brackets. The spindle drives can be mounted using adjustable clamping rings or sliding elements on the housing tube, eye bolts, or clevis brackets at the rear of the housing bottom. The adjustable fixing to the housing tube ensures stability, even with long strokes and under the influence of side load forces.
Integrated microprocessors ensure smooth start and stop operations and regulate stroke lengths, speeds and forces, safeguarding the drive against overload and preventing premature wear of the window and attachment elements. These drives can be synchronized to run simultaneously or be customized for various customer and object-specific configurations.
When installed at the main closing edge, the slim drive housing of the spindle drives extends considerably into the room, necessitating a larger swiveling range. Therefore, spindle drives are commonly used for outward-opening windows, efficiently transmitting the entire drive force to the window. The opening duration depends on the load, stroke length and speed. For larger opening widths, spindle drives can be mounted at the side closing edge.
Alternatively, spindle drives can be combined with hardware sets, applying an acute angle force to the window frame. While this partially transmits the driving force to the window hinges, it allows for significantly wider opening angles with shorter strokes. A minimum free installation width of 40 mm at the window frame is required for this setup.
